ABOUT CLARENCE MAUR

Most professionals and organizations don't have a motivation problem. They have a misalignment problem.

I've spent nearly two decades watching high-achievers work harder inside systems that were never built around who they actually are or what they're actually trying to build. The results are predictable: disengagement, stagnation, and the quiet cost of doing work that doesn't fit.

That's the problem I built my work around.

The pattern showed up early in my career.

As the senior operator of a multi-location franchise, I was responsible for leading all employees, managing day-to-day operations, driving local marketing, and strategizing on revenue growth across locations—simultaneously. What I discovered was that when those functions were connected, the organization moved. When they weren't, it stalled.

That same pattern repeated itself when I spent nearly a decade serving simultaneously as a marketing executive, leadership program director, and strategic planning lead inside a growing multi-brand organization. During that time, the organization expanded significantly — in locations, in revenue, and in complexity.

What I watched in both contexts was the same: alignment compounds. And when it breaks down, the cost is real, measurable, and almost always misdiagnosed.

My credentials include a Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) designation from the American Marketing Association—a credential held by fewer than 1% of marketers—alongside nearly two decades of practitioner experience across marketing, operations, leadership development, and strategic planning.

MY FRAMEWORK

That experience became The Maur Method,℠ a diagnostic framework built around three Core Foundations (Leadership, Marketing, Strategy), three Zones of Misalignment (Identity, Behavior, Communication), and two Anchors: People and Purpose.

It's the same framework I use with individual high-achievers navigating career misalignment and with founders and executive leaders navigating organizational misalignment. The scale changes. The diagnostic doesn't.

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

Every engagement I take on is built around two commitments.

People-centric means the person is always the starting point. Not the role, not the organization, not the title. The work begins with understanding who you are, how you operate, and what you're actually trying to build.

Purpose-driven means the destination matters as much as the diagnosis. Alignment without direction is just efficiency. The goal is always work that produces meaning, not just results.

These aren't just aspirational values. They're the architecture of every engagement.
